FAQ's

How much will it cost to tint my windows?

Every car is different, taking into consideration, size and customer preferences please call us for a detailed quote based on what you require.

How long will it take to tint my car?
Again depending on the style and size of car, it should usually take 2-4 hours to complete the job to the standard we want to meet on every vehicle. Preferably leaving your car with us for a half a day would be perfect giving the tint time to dry.

What tints options do I have?
We carry a wide variety of tint ranging in shades, colours and thickness. The range is almost endless and would require a website for that alone, so if you require information please call us and we will guide you through the tint options and what is the best suited to you.

Is the any laws on window tinting?
There are laws on how dark you are allowed your windows, this states no less than 35% of light can be transmitted through your front 3 windows (windscreen, passenge sider, driver side), therefore we don't advise applying tint. However, we can supply and fit tint on these windows on your knowledge and understanding that your car will be illegal*. There is no law on tinting the rear 3 windows, so it is your preference which tint you have on these.

*Shades tints accepts no responsibility for any fines gained because of the level of tints you request for vehicle front windows.

Do I have to let the film set after fitting?
You need to leave your windows wound up and try not to wind them down within 3 days of fitment, also the rear window demister should not be used for at least 2 weeks, this alloys the film to dry to the window.
